Polishing Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description:

This position is responsible for hand polishing custom fabricated Cambria countertops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria polish work as outlined in the polish SOPsIdentify profiled material that needs hand polishingPolish pieces to effectively blend seamsUtilize overhead crane to transfer polish pieces to and from work stationsInspect the overhead crane dailyCommunicate with supervisor to keep him/her informed of any material defects and difficult polish jobsKeep work area clean and free of clutterConduct all job related duties in a safe and responsible mannerAttend work daily, be punctual, and work the duration of a shiftQualifications & Skills:

Proficiency with basic mathematicsAbility to work safely and follow Standard Operating ProceduresAbility to become certified in using an overhead craneExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work as a team playerSense of urgency in completing workAbility to work extended hours and/or weekends on short noticeMinimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or GED

Experience:

Polishing experience preferred

Systems:

Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift

Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Steel toed bootsSafety glassesCut-proof glovesCompany provided uniform
