JOB SUMMARY:

General Manager assumes overall responsibility for the successful operation and performance of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and managing all aspects of the business. This position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and operational expertise to uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the management team and staff, setting clear goals and expectations to achieve business objectivesOversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including FOH and Kitchen activities, to ensure seamless and efficient service deliveryDevelop and implement business plans, budgets, and operational strategies to achieve revenue targets, control costs, and maximize profitabilityMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, such as sales, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and profitability, to identify opportunities for improvement and drive business growthLead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring that service standards, quality of food and beverage, and cleanliness meet or exceed expectationsFoster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff membersRecruit, train, and develop talent, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to enhance employee performance, engagement, and retentionManage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services, including food and beverage supplies, equipment, and maintenance servicesEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to food safety, sanitation, health, and safety, and alcohol serviceHandle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to resolve issues and exceed guest expectationsDevelop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty, leveraging both traditional and digital channelsCollaborate with corporate leadership and stakeholders to align on strategic priorities, share best practices, and support the overall success of the brandStay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiationRepresent the restaurant in the local community and industry events, building relationships with key stakeholders and driving brand awareness and reputationFollow Zuma's service standards and protocols, including uniform guidelines, grooming standards, and service etiquetteOperate ethically to protect the image of the companyPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required or requestedJOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in high-volume, upscale dining environmentsBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; Master's degree highly preferredStrong business acumen and financial literacy, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L managementExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goalsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, influence stakeholders, and build consensusStrategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvementProficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office suitePassion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest serviceAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularlyAbility to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environmentBENEFITS & PERKS
