A supportive and collaborative work environment. Job Details Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the practice. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting principles and practices within a healthcare or private equity context. The ideal candidate will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing actionable insights. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections. Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, implementing best practices in financial controls. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred. 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or private equity environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
