The Role:

Lord Abbett seeks a motivated individual to join its Taxable Fixed Income group as a Portfolio Manager to assist with the management of our growing multi-sector and securitized product strategies. This individual will be part of the Real Estate Credit Team and will interact with investment professionals across the entire Taxable Fixed Income organization. The role provides an opportunity to team-manage fixed-income portfolios in a highly flat and dynamic organization.Well trust you to::Collaborate with portfolio management, research, and trading to help oversee our CMBS portfoliosArticulate a market view and assist in investment decision making, portfolio positioning, sizing, and risk managementWork with the team to make recommendations on primary and secondary market opportunitiesCommunicate sector level commentary & ideas to the broader team, department, and other firmwide stakeholdersBuild and maintain relationships with investors, counterparties, and other market participantsYou'll need to have::

High motivation to learn, develop and mentor as an investor in a collaborative environment10+ years of portfolio management experience with mortgage credit expertiseSome buy-side experience working in a team-oriented environment is preferredExcellent quantitative, communication, and investment management skillsAbility to articulate investment objectives in a clear and concise manner with internal and external constituents.Advanced written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel, Intex, and PowerPoint skills with a proficiency in scenario based financial modelingBA/BS degree requiredMBA or MS degrees, CFA designation viewed positively, but not required

Annual base salary for this role is $225,000 - $250,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.Discretionary Bonus:

Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.Benefits:
