Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Burn/Wound Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night - 12x3 - 7 PM - 7 AM - 36 Hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience required License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Job Description: - Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.- Participates in identifying and meeting personal and professional learning needs through education programs and use of patient education materials.- Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, organizing and prioritizing care according to patient and family needs.- Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex needs, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.- Performs bedside point of care testing and utilizes organizational standards, policies, and procedures.- Engages in the development and evaluation of patient care plans, participating in discussions for revision with interdisciplinary team members.- Promotes continuity of care by effectively communicating relevant information to colleagues.- Achieves professional growth goals, participating in unit goal setting, performance improvement, and promoting cost-effective care.- Recognizes data to determine care priorities, assesses and anticipates discharge needs, and collaborates in planning care with patients and families.- Builds relationships with families, enabling them to advocate for patient needs.- Stays informed through reading journals related to practice, bringing ideas for staff assessment.- Works in a 21-bed ICU-equipped Burn Center, providing advanced care from critical phases through rehabilitation for patients of all ages.
