Description:
Currently seeking a General Manager at Tatsu-Ya who will develop and oversee the daily operations of the business unit to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Core Managerial Tasks:
  • Hires and help train new employees
  • Oversees management and hourly staff
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Processes discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Plans and organizes daily activities related to the location operation
  • Ensures an outstanding dining experience by maintaining Tatsu-Ya standards with presentation, taste, service, and atmosphere for all guests and staff
  • Oversees the general ordering and inventory of product within the location
  • Determines labor needs to meet location goals
  • Responsible for overall financial strength of location to include sales, food, beverage, labor costs, and controllable cost lines
  • Oversees daily operations by enforcing company policies and maintaining high standards
  • Adheres to all appropriate health code and local jurisdiction food handling requirements, maintains food safety certifications, and models exemplary food health safety practices to all employees
  • Creates a work environment that promotes employee safety in line with operational standards
  • Continually educates, develops, and coaches employees to retain top talent throughout their Tatsu-Ya employment
  • Oversees employee relations, progressive discipline, employee recognition, and other administrative tasks in partnership with Human Resources
  • Executes all training and standard operating procedures for the location
  • Always promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Ensures accurate recording and submission of payroll
  • Performs other related duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Prior managerial and supervisory skills and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and culinary management
  • Ability to interpret financial data, as needed, to set operational goals
  • Ability to assist in both the FOH and BOH areas as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Functions of scheduling and reporting using Restaurant 365 & HotSchedules or other similar software
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing
  • Periodic administrative work on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate the location
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time

The General Manager will manage and operate the location, in partnership with Directors of Operations and Senior Leadership, through effective financial planning, inventory controls, and labor management while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
