Phoenix Systems is growing and we are looking for an experienced Audio/Video installation technician with Control4 certification(s) to join our amazing team. We are looking for candidates that are self-motivated, personable and of good character. You should be passionate about custom electronics and installation and all about providing world class service to our high-end clients.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs service, installation, and activation of security systems, surround sound systems, system components, speakers, TV hangs, remote controls, shades and screens, advanced lighting controls, and systems requiring Control4 automation and programmingCommunicate with the customer to review the work orders, answer customer questions professionally and properlyInstruct and train the customer/end user on the system functions and operation.Have in depth knowledge of security systems operation, functions, and wiring requirementsCompletely understand security systems Phoenix Systems installs and services (NX, SimonXTi, 2Gig, DSC, Qolsys, Etc.)Handle after hours emergency service calls (as assigned on a rotation basis)Create and edit Control4 IR DriversAbility to install and program shades and screensHave tools and experience needed to terminate multimode fiber endsKnowledge to calibrate advanced projectors and receivers for optimal video and soundAbility to think on your own and resolve technical issues withoutMust also be able to work and perform duties of Trim Tech II/III and A/V Security Technician IIPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience with security/AV installations requiredActive Control4 Automation Programmer certification through SnapAVActive Control4 PCNA Certification through SnapAVLutron Lighting Certification PreferredKnowledge of cable types and technologies and can distinguish which types to use in installation scenariosAbility to accurately assess system design and functionality when adding additional componentsKnowledge of setup of Networking requirements for Routers, Switches, DVR's, Network Components, WAP's, etc.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work in a clean and unobtrusive mannerAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within standard accepted practices.Must have or be willing to obtain basic tools to perform job responsibilities.Must be able to clear a background check and drug screeningClear MVR requiredTechnical or Vocational related schooling is preferredPhysical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.Frequent use of step ladders and extension laddersFrequent amount of lifting up to 50 poundsOccasional lifting of up to 100 poundsWork Environment:
