**Packer Operator**Production Kent, Ohio Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$ 15 / hr** Position Overview:Packer Operator is responsible for the operational roles necessary to drive the dry end finishing of product ready for customer. This role operates the automated case erector, robotic packer, carton sealing process & monitoring the final phase of the finished product process. This the staging of materials, ensuring finished cases meets all physical properties of our quality standards, accurate recording of assigned batch records, relaying packaging equipment conditions, and maintaining a clean and organized case packaging area. The Packer Operator will also be responsible for any duties to support operation as assigned by the Production Supervisor.Duties & Responsibilities:* Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures for the Case Erector, Robotic Packer & Carton Sealing equipment* Conform to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and the SQF System Program* Staging inputs nearest the relevant equipment* Maintain accurate production logs and records* Constantly monitor operating equipment and communicating conditions to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Department through Upkeep CMMS* Input necessary raw materials associated with the Case Packing equipment* Remove all dunnage, trash, and cardboard from the facility at the start of each shift* Assist in any necessary rework or disposal activities as requested* Maintain tidy and organized shipping area, this includes:* Discarding any cartons not fit for release* Removal of empty pallets from packing area* Consistently removing any damaged cartons, dust accumulation created during packaging and any other debris* Perform any miscellaneous activities as directed by the Production Supervisor* Ensure safety procedures are followed* Responsible to report food safety problems and or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actionsRequirements:* Superior employee communication skills* Ability to be assertive without being outwardly aggressive in dealings with others* Ability to adapt communication style to build relationships with others who do not share his/her adaptability in this regard* Strong personal work ethic, enthusiasm and high energy level.* Flexible schedule evening / weekend schedule may be required* Strong sense of accountability as well as a willingness to learnWorking Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
