to join our Building & Construction team in the

The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

What are we looking for?

The Building & Construction Product Inspector is responsible performing inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure that products are being manufactured in accordance with established materials, processes, and documented production requirements.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. (Include this paragraph if salary information is required or optionally provided.)

What you will do:Document manufacturer's production and quality processes in an Initial Factory Assessment (IFA)Review required production tests, including methods, equipment used and calibration of equipmentInspect Intertek Listed products, subassemblies and components with respect to Certification Documents to determine compliance with the certification documents created based on tested productsReview Intertek label inventory and control for proper usage of the marks and security of the marksReview non-compliances issued as a result of previous inspections and document those unresolvedSelect samples as directed in the Certification DocumentsCompile and document compliances and non-compliances and advise client on proper resolutionCommunicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel.Complete and submit Follow-Up Service Inspection ReportPerform other duties as requiredWhat it takes to be successful in this role:

High School Diploma or GED and 10+ years directly related experience; Associates Degree in related area and 5+ years directly related experience; or Bachelor's Degree in related area and 1+ year directly related experienceKnowledge of manufacturing processesKnowledge of building products or construction methodsKnowledge of Quality Control methods (ISO 9000/14000, QS 9000, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen & Statistical Process Control) a plusMust have access to the internetValid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)Ability to travel as business needs dictateMust have strong computer skillsPhysical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40 poundsAbility to stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to read small print with or without corrective lensesAbility to climb stairs and laddersAbility to drive for prolonged periods of time during the daytime and evening hours
