Treater and Packaging Operator

Treater Operator•Treater Operators work closely with the Conditioning Supervisor, Conditioning Operator, and Plant Operations Manager to ensure all seed being treated or treated and blended meet customer quality requirements. Responsibilities include but not limited to:•Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company QMS program.•Perform all required quality procedures and documentation accurately and as required.•Determining accurate seed counts to set chemical application rates to meet customer requirements.•Operating seed treater equipment and/or RIB blending equipment according to QMS Work Instructions.•Perform regular treatment scale calibrations or verifications to maintain equipment accuracy.•Perform treatment accuracy checks to verify correct application is being made.•Accurately mixing seed treatment chemicals.•Maintaining an accurate seed treatment inventory.•Perform visual inspection of treatment coverage to meet company standards.•Thoroughly cleaning all equipment between treatment runs in order to maintain product integrity.•Assisting with maintenance on treating and blending equipment and all equipment used in the process.Packaging OperatorPackaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include:•Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company QMS program.•Operating bagging equipment according to instructions•Performing regular scale weight checks•Ensuring proper set up of ink jet bag labeling equipment•Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance•Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages•Accurate bagged seed inventory counts•Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity•Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped prior to placement in the warehouse•Assisting with maintenance activities•Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work areaRequirementsRequirementsAgricultural background is helpful but not requiredStrong computer and data entry competencyExcellent communications skills with positive attitudeAttentive to detail and accuracyCooperative and willing to assist othersWell organizedBenefitsCompany bonus programPersonal time offCompany holidaysHealth, dental, and vision insuranceMedical and dependent care flexible spending accountsShort and long-term disabilityCompany paid life insurance401(k) with company matchRemington Seeds is an equal opportunity employer.
