Find out what it's like to work at BMS Re by clicking here The BMS ProLink team is an industry leading team that specializes in creating bespoke Programs for our widespread client base, with the opportunity to work on both the Insurance and Reinsurance sides of the Program market. The team is a mix of Property & Casualty as well as Accident & Health and this would be a hybrid role that would sit across both areas. The ProLink team is widely viewed as the strongest specialist Program division in the market and this role will include working with both Domestic Carriers and Reinsurers as well as a large amount of trading/exposure to Lloyds of London and London Company markets. The individual will have the opportunity to meet with clients and work alongside each division to help build out their ever-growing portfolio. In this role, you will: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including current and potential at clients and prospects; understand the importance of each relationship and what motivates them Facilitate and lead meetings (virtual and in-person) with clients, markets and underwriters Develop and maintain a wide network of relationships among reinsurance underwriters, actuaries and other staff to promote collaboration and a solutions-based approach for clients and prospects Strategize with internal and external clients around renewals and projects; establish what needs to be accomplished to effectively meet the clients' needs; offer creative solutions Effectively and respectfully negotiate with others to achieve client and prospect goals Familiarize self with all aspects of a reinsurance structure, each contract and what it covers and why it is designed the way it is; offer ideas/solutions for improvements Anticipate requests and proactively supply information to clients and prospects; think of solutions that will help them meet their goals, and present relevant ideas to them proactively Oversee annual actuarial work for contracts, prepare reports, and present findings Keep client well informed throughout entire placement process Mentor junior brokers, sharing best practices and industry knowledge; directly or indirectly manage others by delegating work and providing clear direction Required Education, Experience and Skills: 6 years broking experience, with a focus on property & casualty in a broker role; A&H experience is a plus Bachelor's degree CPCU or ARE designation or progression towards is preferred but not required Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial property insurance (previous experience in reinsurance is an asset) Ability to travel Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients Entrepreneurial attitude with keen negotiation, business acumen and problem-solving skills Strong organization and time management skills, able to multitask and manage projects Ability to work independently as a self-starter; committed to delivering the highest in client service, quality and results Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applications Willingness and ability to mentor junior brokers Support BMS's vision on a team, business unit, and Group level in all daily activities Salary The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,00, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
