About the Position:

As the Manager of SEC Financial Reporting you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the company's external reporting requirements, including quarterly earnings press releases, annual report production, filing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc. You will assist in identifying accounting and reporting issues, researching and interpreting complex accounting issues, and the completion of various projects

What You Will Do:Manage the planning, organization, preparation and review of the Company's SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the reportsWith the Corporate Controller, coordinate the quarter-end and year-end audits and preparation of related reports/analyses to ensure completeness and conformity with Company and industry standardsPrepare, review and file Form 8-Ks on an as needed basisUpdate and review the financial package that supports the quarterly earnings press release and accompanying presentationKeep abreast of accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements of all accounting standard setting bodies, including FASB, SEC, and PCAOB, and evaluate the accounting and reporting impact of new standardsAct as the Company's liaison for the external and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and the year-end auditPrepare/review monthly analysis of the Company's allowance for credit losses using prescribed methodologyContribute to the preparation of earnings release presentation materials as neededPrepare communications for management and internal committees, including the Board of Directors and the Audit CommitteeDrive strategic operational and analytical system and process improvementsAssess current processes, and work with IT to advance automation with technologyMaintain operational and design effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-OxleyVarious projects as assigned by managementSupervise, lead and develop direct report(s)What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in AccountingCPA preferredA minimum of five years of progressive experience in either a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm and/or a financial reporting role in a public entityFinancial services industry experience strongly preferredCandidate must be self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to function effectively within established deadlines and possess the ability to work in a team environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environmentTakes initiative for continuous improvement and drives efficiencyStrong technical skills in Excel; experience using Prologue and Workiva is a plusDetail oriented with strong analytical capabilities as well as effective written and verbal communication skillsCapable of working independentlyAbility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as necessaryWorking Conditions/Demands:
