The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services. This position offers competitive rates and is ideal for a professional seeking flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse client base.Key Responsibilities:- Therapy Implementation:- Execute individualized therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP.- Conduct therapy sessions focused on improving speech, language, and communication skills.- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to engage clients and achieve treatment goals.- Client Monitoring and Feedback:- Observe client progress during sessions and provide detailed feedback to the supervising SLP.- Encourage and support clients throughout the therapy process to maximize outcomes.- Adapt therapy activities in real-time based on client responses, with SLP oversight.- Documentation and Compliance:- Accurately document therapy sessions, progress notes, and any changes in client performance.- Assist with the preparation of necessary reports and updates as required by the SLP.- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.- Material Preparation and Management:- Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions to ensure a smooth and effective process.- Maintain therapy rooms and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.- Create and distribute home practice materials for clients and their families as needed.- Collaboration and Professional Communication:- Collaborate closely with the supervising SLP and other team members to provide coordinated care.- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and any required training sessions.- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, families, and caregivers.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field from an accredited program.- Current Texas state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.- Previous experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations is preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under the supervision of an SLP.- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Compensation:- Competitive rates based on experience and qualifications.- Flexible contract terms, allowing for customizable scheduling to meet your availability.
