General Management and oversight of the Accounting Department including bookkeeping Office bookeeper, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including:
Development and implementation of proper accounting procedures and policiesFunding oversight and reportingOrganizational and Departmental BudgetsDaily, weekly, monthly and annual compilation and analysis of financial statementsFinancial Reporting to Board of Directors and Upper ManagementReconcile and manage loans, lines of credit and bank accounts.Payroll ProcessingComplete monthly and annual compilation and analysis of financial statementsFinanancial Reporting to Board of Directors and Upper ManagementReconcile and manage loans, lines of credit and bank accountsPayroll ProcessingComplete month and year-end processesforecast cash balances and organizational needsRecording and depreciation of assetsMontior and track debt activityCoordinate annual auditsCoordinate and complete internal auditsSet and help organization achieve financial objectivesAssign projects and staff to ensure compliance and organization-wide accuracyMeet with Department Managers to ensure adherence to individual budgets and revise when appropriateCreate and maintain grant budgets for applications and existing grant fundingEstablish and maintain files and records of transactionsProvide financial recommendations for policy and procedure with GAAP guidelinesFacilitate treasury management servicesBuild and maintain banking relationsPrepare annual IRS wage reporting formsFacilitate creation and maintenance of company endowmentParticipate in Board of Directors Financial Committee and committee meetingsTrain and evaluate new and existing accounting staffJob Requirements and Skills
BS degree in Accounting or Finance or 7+years related experience10+years proven accounting management or accounting supervisory experienceAdvanced computer skills in MS Office, QuickBooks and databasesAbility to manipulate large amounts of data across multiple accountsHigh attention to detailExtensive knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsStrong written and verbal communication skills
