Our organization has been around for over 30 years and we focus on providing the best care possible to the community who needs it most. We have received numerous awards for our multitude of treatment services and patient outcomes. As the psychiatric nurse practitioner, you would work in one of our outpatient clinics located near Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. There is also parking at this location. You would work collaboratively with our attending Psychiatrists and also psychiatric nurse practitioners treating mostly adults patients suffering from substance abuse disorders and also more serious chronic mental health illnesses. This is a full time permanent job opportunity with a weekday schedule during the day time with no weekends and no on call. Please see job highlights below for more details.
Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Brooklyn NY
Salary: $145,000 to $155,000 + full benefits
Benefits: Aetna Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Loan Repayment, life insurance disability, CME credit, 30 days PTO, holidays off.
Responsibilities:
Performing psychiatric evaluations for adults patients in outpatient clinic
Responsible for seeing anywhere from 10-14 patients per day
30 minutes allotted for medication management
1 hour allotted for psychiatric evaluations
Medication Assisted treatment included
Interacting with other prescribers about clinical practice
Documenting notes in EMR system
Participating in team members when necessary
Speaking with patient family members when applicable
Requirements:
Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Graduate of accredited Master's Degree of Nursing Program
Experience with substance abuse treatment strongly preferred
We will see new graduates
New York State PMHNP license
