We are seeking a Senior Accountant for Tesla Insurance with industry expertise to assist with all aspects of accounting and reporting forthe Tesla Insurance Services Auto business. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting for P&C insurance operations as well as statutory accounting and reporting, as needed.This person will work alongside a team to perform the accurate completion ofthe team's assignments and be responsible for the thorough execution of accounting close and financial reporting processes in a deadline focused environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles through effective planning, monitoring, and troubleshootingEstablish, document and perform internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingPerform the most complex accounting activitiesWork with multiple financial systems and utilize key interfaces and interdependencies extract data for financial reporting needsMake enhancements to financial systems and associated processes and participate in or lead their implementationWork closely with other departments on increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyond the scope of own team's responsibilitiesCoordinate with Risk Management, Actuarial, Treasury, Finance, and other stakeholdersRequirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent3+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience is requiredAdvanced Excel expertise preferredExperience with large-scale accounting systemsFamiliarity with NAIC quarterly and annual statement content and preparationMust demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-pacedwork environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions toachieve resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$64,000 - $138,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
