A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician for a promising opportunity at one of their clinics in the Bronx as a Primary Care Provider. In this role, the Primary Care Provider will be responsible for screening, diagnoses, and treatment of patients for providing such care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, and for making appropriate internal and external referrals.
Responsibilities:
The Primary Care Provider will:Provide comprehensive care to patients according to pre-arranged schedulesDocumentcare promptly and followcharting protocolsEnsure appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care (e.g., specialty referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports, etc.)Providecare to patients living with HIVParticipate in didactics, precepting, and case conferencing in order to build competency in HIV careAssist in continuous quality improvement through ongoing problem/needs identification and problem-solvingMaintain familiarity with clinical guidelines and current treatment protocols in areas, such astransgender health, GEN care, and STI carePerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
1+ year of experience in a Medical Practice and/or similar settingLicensed to practice Medicine in the State of New YorkBoard Eligible / Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and/or Infectious Disease specialtyDEA Controlled Substances certification / registrationCPR certificationDesired Skills:
