Opportunity
Our client, a mid-sized accounting and advisory firm, is currently seeking a Tax Manager in Salem, Oregon. In this hybrid-remote role, you will be responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely preparation of estate, gift and fiduciary tax returns, as well as corporate, pass-through entities and
individual returns.
Qualified candidates must have a strong working knowledge of trust taxation theory, trust and fiduciary accounting income, and distributable net income rules, as well as the trusts (revocable living, grantor, marital, bypass, charitable split-interest).
ResponsibilitiesClient and project management, including collaborating with client attorneys to facilitate tax return preparationAnalyze and apply provisions in estate planning documents, including power of attorney, wills, codicils, and trust agreementsParticipate in estate planning, tax accounting and consulting activities as neededRequired Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in AccountingMaster's degree in Taxation preferred5-7 years of experience in public accounting2+ years of experience representing clients before taxing authorities1+ year of experience supervising and directing the work of support accounting staffCurrent and valid CPA licenseWhat We Offer
