Hello!Our client in the property and casualty insurance space is actively looking for an Underwriter who can manage complex risk assessment cases and ensure client satisfaction.Open to learning more? Let me know!Role: Underwriter (Full Time)Salary Range: $100K - $115K/yrWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm CST, ONSITE in Chicago, IL officeResponsibilities:Analyze and underwrite technical risk exposures on new and renewal business.Develop insurance proposals, prepare policies and endorsements, obtain Home Office underwriting approvals where needed.Purchase reinsurance (only with approval) when needed, review reinsurance certificates and complete reinsurance documentation.Travel to and complete marketing/sales meeting in assigned territories within the Midwest Region (mainly around Chicago, potential travel to KC office).Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferredAt least 2-3 years of Property Underwriting experience involving heavy industrial/technical risks including oil, petrochemical, chemical, steel and power generation.Ideal candidate would have middle market Property Insurance experience.Proficiency in all forms of Microsoft Office products.Ideal candidate will have strong math skills, be an excellent communicator and collaborator.
