Overview:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for fixed asset accounting, monthly journal entry work, A/R analysis and reporting, A/P review, and general ledger account analysis.The candidate is expected to follow a hybrid schedule, with Tuesdays designated as a mandatory in-office workday.Responsibilities:Preparing standard monthly journal entriesReviewing non-standard revenue arrangementsPreparing monthly and quarterly AR reportsInvestigating accounts receivable cash application issuesPreparing monthly general ledger account analyses for prepaid expense accounts, misc. receivables, accrued liabilities, other income, lease activity, and other areas as assignedAssisting with preparation for annual financial statement and Single auditsReconciling operating bank accountsEntering monthly fixed asset additions data into the fixed asset systemPreparing and posting monthly journal entries for fixed assetsPreparing fixed asset tracking forms and obtaining authorized signaturesReconciling fixed asset accounts between the fixed assets system and the general ledgerCompleting federal procurement compliance forms and communicating with purchasers to obtain authorized signaturesMaintaining records of new vendor excluded party reviewBack up for preparing monthly and quarterly state and city tax returnsReviewing invoices processed and batched for paymentCollaborating with and serving as a resource to the A/P and IT team to address procurement software (Coupa) related issuesServing as a backup for preparing, reviewing, and distributing the monthly cost center reportsServing as backup for processing intercompany billingsServing as backup for accounting and intra-company billings for core lab activitiesQualifications:

Requires a bachelors degree in accounting and an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles5+ years of accounting experience desiredSingle Audit experience a plusRequires strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in ExcelMust be efficient in analyzing data and problem solvingMust be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressureMust be able to provide clear verbal and written communications and provide exceptional customer serviceCompensation:$79,680 to $125,100 per yearBenefits:
