Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.Reporting directly to VP Sales & Marketing Region dotted to the SVP, Global Sales Pharma and Healthcare, this position is to grow the top line and healthy GP of JAS' network in the region that supports JAS' newly formed Global Pharma and Healthcare vertical. The market is estimated at more than 120 billion dollars and continues to present significant growth opportunities. No logistics company holds more than 3% of the market share and with the increase and prevalence of chronic diseases consumption and sales of pharmaceutical products, this market will be a key growth strategy for our organization.This role is accountable to develop, manage and expand JAS' pharma and healthcare vertical business regionally collaborating with other regions and countries - from marketing/lead generation stage all the way to on-going key account management and customer retention for profitable growth and market recognition.Strategic ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable commercial programs that deliver profitable growth for all company network and service portfolioFinancial planning:Set, review, and implement Revenue, GP and cost budgets (direct reports only), and ensure that cost control programs are effectively implemented to manage expensesProvide leadership for the development and implementation of programs and tools to support growth of the vertical and promote use for accountability, institutional learning, and effective management of pharma and healthcare clientsMarketing StrategyImplement strategies that drive vertical brand recognition and differentiate JAS in the marketplaceDrive credibility and reputation and a knowledge-based service provider through the development customer education forums and focus groupsIdentify parameters for targeted marketing campaigns and lead generation with Marketing DepartmentDefine vertical value proposition and positioning strategyCustomer Retention StrategyImplement strategies with Products and other necessary functions that drive up customer retention and increase shares of wallets.Tactical ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development and execution of annual plans to achieve revenue, GP, and other commercial targets internally, as well as externally with clients in collaboration with Regional EVPs, MDs, Sales RVPs, Country Sales Heads, Account Management, Regional and Country Products.Oversee the use, alignment, and effectiveness of tools and programs implemented to support Verticals, Account Management, Transition & Implementation and RFQ ManagementProvide strategic direction for customer facing resources to maximize sales revenue and GP.Monitoring customer activity and stewarding relationships for additional projectsWork closely with the extended team of operations, product management, transition and implementation, and account management to ensure that account acquisition, onboarding and business maintenance is as efficient and effective as possibleQualifications, Skills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and relevant regulatory directives and guidelines - GDP / GMP / ISO 9001 etc.Strong knowledge of business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc. used in decision-making; ability to build sound business cases to support investments and initiativesDemonstrated ability to influence decisions at all levels; excellent negotiation skillsStrong problem-solving skills; ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutionsDemonstrated ability to build new relationships and nurture existing relationships with internal and external clientsOutstanding oral/written communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skills;
