Sr. Operations Financial Analyst
Farmers Branch, TX (Hybrid)
Location: T-Th onsite at Farmers Branch corporate office/M & F remote
Reports to: Director of Finance
Eyemart Express is seeking an Senior Operations Financial Analyst to support the continued growth and evolution of our Operations function. The Senior Operations Financial Analyst will partner with our Operational Field Leadership and be responsible for delivering routine reporting, creating ad-hoc analysis, becoming a trusted business partner, and delivering valuable insights to drive proper business behaviors. In this role, you will also be an integral part our annual budgeting process, along with the build-out of our forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will bring analytical insights, intellectual curiosity, financial discipline, and high energy into a critical role with Eyemart Express.
Note : This role is a hybrid role and open to those in the Dallas- Ft Worth area.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalysis
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial information and key operational metrics in a data-rich environment to identify opportunities and business risks and help drive accountability. Assist in the development of recommendations to realize opportunities and address risks identified through analysis.
Conduct special analytical studies to analyze operational and financial data.Effectively manage ad hoc projects and investigation as required, sometimes needing collaboration with other functional areas.Develop expertise in the Company's operational and financial metrics.
Reporting
- Partner with Operational and Financial Leadership to continually evolve the way we look at the business.
Drive profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions.Assist in the report development and operationalization processes.
Business Cases
- Prepare business cases (in partnership within executive sponsors) to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions.Process Improvement
- Assist in the continual assessment and evaluation of financial processes, systems, and reporting.Education and Certification
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.MBA, CPA, and CFA preferred, but not required.Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.Experiences and Skills
3-5 years of work experience in operational finance and analysis, corporate financial planning and analysis, data analytics, or similar financial role.Analytical Skills
- Confident in critical thinking, analytical and research skills.Technology
- Expertise in MS Excel (financial modeling and advanced formulas) and MS PowerPoint. Familiarity with financial databases and reporting tools, such as Cognos Query Studio, Reflexis AAR, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, SQL or a similar type of reporting tool.Initiative, Results-oriented
- Ability to work well independently and creatively on a tight timeline with a strong bias towards action and results.Communication & Relationships
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Must have the presence and communication skills to establish credibility across the organization at all levels. Ability to convey a message that is clear, concise, and compelling and can link business issues, financial results, and strategy.Adaptability
