We are looking for someone who:

Demonstrates understanding of social, political, cultural, legal, technological, and environmental issuesIs experienced in collecting and analyzing data to influence equity program development and implementationAdeptly uses word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications to accurately convey informationPossesses excellent oral and written communication skills, which will be used to prepare clear, concise, and effective written reports, correspondence, and other materials and to make effective presentationsHas strong technical skills in spreadsheet analysis, auditing, performance management, and data visualizationBrings strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships, including working directly with the Board of Supervisors, County Advisory Bodies, County Management, County departments, community members and local community organizationsWhat you will typically be responsible for:

Collecting, cleaning, analyzing and sharing data related to social justice initiatives led by the Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice (ORESJ)Developing and managing interactive data dashboards to monitor countywide racial equity issues and initiativesCollaborating with county departments and stakeholders to align data collection and analysis strategies and integrate community perspectivesEvaluating county reports for strengths, trends, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement to better understand demographics, measure outcomes, and plan for the delivery of servicesIdentifying and recommending new data collection requirements and methods for data gatheringCoordinate project teams spanning programs, divisions, and agencies to lead strategic initiativesParticipating in community engagement activities, offering data-driven insightsProviding administrative and technical support to the Equity Committee, commissions or advisory groups as assigned
