Job Summary: The Vice President, Information Technology partners with MNAA Executive and Senior leaders to create clear and effective plans and strategies for systems, data and business improvements. These plans will need to be translated into projects, architectures, and work plans for the IT department to follow and achieve. Additionally, this leadership role will lead, plan, and oversee information systems and technology for the MNAA so that effective, efficient information systems and technology are delivered that support the business of the airport.

Starting Salary Range: $182,016 - $247,641

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Public Administration or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education7-10 years' experience leading Information Technology functions for an organizationConsiderable planning, management and people leadership skillsDemonstrable experience in building relationships across business units to achieve enterprise objectivesDemonstrable skills in oral and written communication including formal presentations at a board levelStrong organizational skills and management of central IT resource and applications as well as coordinating business units and client resources and initiativesExperience conceptualizing, launching and delivering multiple IT projects on time, within budgetSkilled at identifying and evaluating new technological developments and gauging their appropriateness for the organizationAmerican Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) C.M. Certification required OR ability to obtain within first two (2) years of employmentValid Class D Driver's License

Preferred:

Master's Degree in IT, Public Administration or related field

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

Determines long-term enterprise-wide information needs and develops overall strategy for development, integration, and successful execution.Reviews and approves IT budgets, plans and projects in conjunction with the strategic goals of the MNAA.Creates and maintains the IT Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the other MNAA planning processes.Develops and oversees the implementation of the long-term and annual IT goals as part of the strategic planning process.Directs the design, development and maintenance of systems (hardware, software and services) to meet information needs.Plans and directs department's staffing, development, organization, technology acquisitions and facilities to ensure that they are consistent with the evolving needs.Provides consulting throughout the organization in clear and understandable business language.Reviews and approves purchases of IT hardware, software and services.Establishes IT policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.Plans and manages the department's expense budget within budgetary guidelines. Contributes to the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) development and execution.Selects, develops and motivates qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of airport innovation, technology trends and best practices and incorporates these new developments into future systems of the organization.Communicates clear performance expectations and standards to direct report employees and, through them, to the organization.Provides timely performance feedback to direct report employees.Provides opportunity and support for growth and development toward the accomplishment of department goals and objectives.Maintains regular and on-time attendance.Follows all safety regulations.Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).Performs other duties as assigned.
