Quality Inspector
at
CAES Mission Systems, Lansdale PA . The Inspector will perform a variety of tasks, such as; visual inspection, mechanical and dimensional inspection, print reading, interfacing with all levels of personal; engineering, management and customers, verifying work instructions and specifications including specific call out per the drawing.Caution, this job may cause uncontolled feelings of Accomplishment, Happiness and Pride.Responsibilities:Works from drawings, process sheets, engineering change orders and written and verbal instruction to inspect mechanical parts, electronic subassemblies and assemblies against required quality standards (i.e., solder, electrical bonds, component placement, plating, etc.)Utilizes standard precision tools such as micrometers, Verniers, gauges, optical comparator, coordinate measuring machines and/or other specialty instruments to measure dimensions where tolerances may be exacting and parts are intricate in nature. Perform calculations to determine angles, tolerances, dimensions and other specified measurementsIdentifies defects against drawing specifications and specified control limits per drawing requirements. Inspects parts, subassemblies and assemblies after rework, modifications or repairs have been corrected.Submit and support Source Inspections (Customer & Government [DCMA])Performs simple setups of inspection equipmentApplies inspection stamp for acceptability of mechanical and electrical parts, subassemblies and assemblies. May perform final inspection prior to customer acceptance to ensure end product meets customer requirement. Interfaces with engineering regarding technical issues and contributes in problem resolutionPerforms field return evaluations to ensure returns are repaired within quality guidelinesConfirm processes are being accurately completed per policies and procedures currently in place.This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Qualifications:Minimum:High School Diploma or Accredited GED2+ years related experience in Electronic (IPC-related) and Mechanical InspectionThis position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Preferred:Associates Degree or Technical CertificationExpert understanding of Mil-Specs, IPC, & J-STD-001 requirementsIPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-J-STD Certification.Experience with AS9100DExperience in defense contract and/or microwave electronicsExcellent collaboration and communication skillsDemonstrated Team PlayerMicrosoft Office Suite proficiencyHourly Range: $22.50 - $41.50 hourly (Lansdale, PA)Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
