Objective:

Understands manufacturing processes and can interpret blueprints for CNC steel and iron machined parts. Works with quality team to measure parts on the Coordinate Measuring Machine using PC-DMIS software. Plays a strong roll of teamwork between quality and production and can communicate with machinists to achieve the common goal of producing good parts.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This position operates within the CMM inspection room and has a heavy presence on the manufacturing floor. Employee will be responsible for looking at all angles of parts in the machine and on pallets. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, copiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must lift up to fifty (50) lbs. occasionally.

Education/Experience

3 years Quality related experience in a CNC machining job shop environmentPC-DMIS Software experienceRecommend: PC-DMIS Programming experienceRecommend: Understanding of CNC turning, CNC milling, Heat treat (carburization, quench & tempering, induction hardening, welding), and gear cutting (Shaping & Hobbing)

Skills/Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skillsAttentive to detail; organized.Ability to work independentlyAbility to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environmentProficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related accounting, HR and sales software.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Hourly M-F - 2:30p.m.- 11 p.m.

Salary Description

$24.00-$29.00
