Description
Evaluates, recommends, installs and supports microcomputer hardware and application software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, data base management systems and electronic mail.
Provides training for users of microcomputer application software. Provides backup for Network/PC Specialist.
Regarding patient health information, has access to demographics, billing, and limited clinical data relevant to the current encounter.
Shift: M-F 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Requirements
Minimum Associate degree in Information Systems or Computer Science with intensive PC Technical and network activities.Minimum of one year of PC technical and networking experience.Formal training or direct experience with personal computer spreadsheets, word processing, etc. required.Must be able to explain technical aspects of duties performed to supervisor and co-workers.Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 poundsNature of job requires that much of the work be done in user areas.External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents, must be able to perform the essential job specific functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by the organization on a case by case basis.Normally work first shift.Member of after-hours on-call team. Requires residence within 30 minutes of IMH.
