Job Description:

In this role, the Recovery Specialists will help each consumer reach a maximum level of self-sufficiency through individualized interventions as well as the support of an overall therapeutic milieu. Interventions are based on service plans developed collaboratively with individual consumers.

Full Time & Part Time (Multiple Shifts)

Misa House - Residential Recovery Program

Pay Rate:

$18/hour

Job Functions:

Provide services as defined by program description, and best practice standards and in full compliance with licensure standards and Recovery model principlesAssist the program coordinator as well as assisting/education in areas of medications, budgeting, self-care, and supportive counseling to the program residentsProvide services as dictated by client and program needsStrong communications skillsAbility to handle a caseload of 4-5 clientsAbility to perform direct care tasks including light housekeeping, cooking, etc. as neededAbility to be a strong advocate for the residents at all timesAbility to maintain required documentation to comply with the 2600 regulationsAbility to be a team playerAbility to provide a wide range of recovery-orientated services to residentsAbility to work independently as neededAbility to do van runs daily and accompany residents on medical appointmentsAbility to administer medication to clients according to DPW medication administration standardsAbility to be flexible with schedule changes/shift changes as neededIntervene appropriately in crisesSupport consumers in maintaining healthy relationships and resolving conflictsMust be compassionate, flexible, and knowledgeable of supportive counselingMust be willing to assist and skill building including occasional hands-on.Maintain accurate records of billable services provided by submitting records promptly as dictated by the programComplete other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisorMinimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Associate's Degree with 1 year of experience in a human service-related field

OR

equivalent in training/experience

Clearances:

Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (if working in an adolescent residential program); Criminal clearance, and Fingerprint federal criminal history; Valid Driver's license and verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note:

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
