What you will be doing

The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist in providing professional financial guidance and analytical support within the Own Brands organization. In addition will gather, organize, and analyze information in the completion of both routine and special assignments under varying amounts of guidance and direction. Will interface with all levels of Division and Corporate personnel in addressing financial questions, results, variances, overall processes and procedures.

Senior Financial Analysts

to support the Own Brands (Private Label) group. These positions are located at the Pleasanton, Ca Corporate office.

Many of our private label brands such as Lucerne, Open Nature, and O Organics are the top selling brands within key product categories at Albertsons. The FP&A team is part of a dynamic, cross functional team that is energetic and results oriented. Our FP&A team members are an integral part of driving continual success of Albertsons private label portfolio. We are looking for bright, hard-working, self-starters who want to bring new ideas and analytical capabilities to our team.

Key Accountabilities:

Finance:

Quickly develop an understanding of company and business objectives to effectively play a key role in the FP&A organization.Primary responsibilities include business partnership with the Own Brands', Product Development, Sourcing & Revenue Management teams.Serve as an analytical resource for a portfolio of private label brands (supporting FP&A Manager). Interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, volume, and/or profit.Support the Productivity and other strategic initiatives, working with various teams to validate and accurately capture, forecast and actualize cost savings projects.Present results of analyses and recommendations to management and/or users using high-end presentations, charts, graphics, etc.Deliver annual operating plan and periodic forecast in a timely and accurate manner; support plan and forecast with well-articulated assumptions that demonstrate strong understanding of business.Support non-sales revenue initiatives for our private label brands, working with suppliers and internal teams to plan, forecast, and capture revenue.Provide additional analytical support such as comparative industry data and trend analysis to continue to improve our understanding of the private label business.Run various weekly, period and quarterly reports for the organization.Conducts complex data mining and other quantitative analysis.Participates in the development of advanced analytic tools and models (predominantly in Microsoft Excel) requiring ingenuity, creativity and short deliverable timeframes ("build from scratch").Internal System (Specright) Duties:

Develop sound understanding of the business processes supported by each system by partnering with cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Quality Assurance, Product Management and Finance.Partner with internal system users, external solution providers and Technology and Engineering to implement system enhancements.Review, test and approve system changes for functionality and data accuracy.Test the systems on a regular basis to ensure quality and functionality is consistently performing as expected.Manage system content for new setup and ongoing maintenance required to accurately represent our supplier base, manufacturing facilities and system users.Drives for Results:

Travel:

Less than 5%

The salary range is $92,00 to $119,720.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education Level:

4-year degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent experience is required.MBA is a plus.Background in finance and/or financial sector of business operationsExperience Level:

4 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis. Experience in a CPG or Fortune 500 company a plus.Ability to work with various systems and data sources to gather and assimilate required information.Advanced PC skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word).Experience SQL, VBA, and Circana/IRI tools are a plusStrong analytical, statistical, market analysis, competitive analysis, and ROI analysis skills. Promotional analysis skills are a plus.Creative problem-solving skills. A demonstrated track record of making a difference and adding value.Strong organizational skills. Able to multi-task. Brings a strong sense of "customer service" - responding to business partner needs in a timely manner.Retail experience or exposure to category and/or brand management a plus.Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.Able to think strategically, formulate actionable financial analyses, and see them through.
