We're passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve, and we're on the lookout for a dynamic individual to be the friendly face that welcomes our clients into the Behavioral Health family.As our Intake Coordinator, you'll be providing detailed customer service to patients, providers and clinic staff regarding pre-service, concurrent and post-service requests with documentation in appropriate systems or databases. This role will also work within the NCQA requirements for completion and turn-around times for requests and cases and facilitate adherence to processes, entering authorizations that do not require medical review according to departmental policies.Benefits:Full-time, remote work environment availableWork schedule an 8-hour schedule between the hours of 8:00am 5:00pm, Monday FridayStarting pay range: $20.72 - $25hr.Responsibilities:

Enters referrals into the system in a timely and accurate manner. Verifies submitted requests are complete and accurate; requests additional information.Provides appropriate notification to clinical staff of all requests and hospitalizations requiring further review.Processes approval determinations according to written protocols and guidelines as appropriate. Refers any medical questions or potential denial determinations to clinical staff for further review.Provides first line review of incoming pended claims, researches necessary claim information and consults with appropriate team members to determine a solution.Provides telephone customer service for members, providers and other Health System or Quartz staff regarding authorization requests, network provider options, hospitalizations and claims questions.Documents detail of incoming/outgoing calls and tasks to other staff/teams.Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent2 + years experience working in the healthcare or health plan environment.Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, and/or Epic.Knowledge of medical terminology;Previous experience in medical field or health plan preferredGreat attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsBasic to intermediate MS Excel skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsThis position has the option to work remotely, or a full-time or hybrid work arrangement from one of our offices located in Madison, WI, or Onalaska, WI.
