Position SummaryThe Children's Oncology Group (COG), a National Cancer Institute supported clinical trials group, is the world's largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research. The COG unites more than 10,000 experts in childhood cancer at more than 200 leading children's hospitals, universities, and cancer centers across North America, Australia, and New Zealand in the fight against childhood cancer. Our goal is to cure all children and adolescents with cancer, reduce the short and long-term complications of cancer treatments, and determine the causes and find ways to prevent childhood cancer.

The Administrative Coordinator position is responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and data management support of the day-to-day operations for the department of Statistics Administration and COG research teams. The main functions of this position include the following: coordinator for two COG Data and Safety Monitor Committees, coordination of Case Report Form (CRF) review meetings, management of the Serious Adverse Event (SAE) notifications, processing of site submitted electronic documents, coordination of electronic subject study transfers in COG database systems.

This is a remote regular full-time position.

Full salary range for this position: $62,968 to $90,167per year. The typical hiring range for this position is from $62,968 (minimum) to $76,568 (midpoint), based on 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate activities and communications for the two COG Data and Safety Monitoring Committees (DSMC), including production and distribution of materials in a timely manner.

Process amendments to the DSMC web application for review by the DSMC members; summarize the votes and communications.

Review and manage the SAE email inbox on a regular basis, reading emails as they arrive and triaging them to the appropriate study group, including management of COG operations staff SAE system user roles.

Perform subject transfers in COG Electronic Patient Registry and data systems.

Coordinate the processing and review of incoming study related electronic documents, such as patient medical reports, ensuring patient protected health information has been properly redacted.

Manage the Case Report Form (CRF) Review webinars.

Coordinate data transfers for industry trial transfers, including material collections, processing database image requests, and tracking the process to meet transfer timelines.

Assist with Statistics and Data Center administrative support projects, as needed.

Provide administrative support to the Group Statistician and Director of Statistics.

Travel for up to 2 working weeks per year when required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of progressive administrative support experience in a health, research, or clinical trials organization.

AA degree is required, or you can substitute with two additional years of related experience.

Other Qualifications

Ability to multitask while coordinating several projects.

Excellent communication skills and be able to work with people at all levels within the organization and externally.

Research data management experience preferred.

A self-starter, well organized, with good time and project management skills.

Strong commitment to customer service.

Have creative, collaborative, and problem-solving approaches to work.

Intermediate to advanced user skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Good judgment and discretion.

Experience with coordinating conferences and meetings preferred.

Bachelor's degree is preferred.
