We are seeking a hands on experienced, motivated, highly detailed, Accountant with excellent reporting skills to become an integral part of our team! Expert in Quickbooks, Excel, reporting and full cycle accounting and taxes is required. This is an onsite position, not remote.
Responsibilities:• Execute and Manage all accounting transactions• Prepare budget forecasts• Publish financial statements in time• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable• Ensure timely bank payments• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements• Report on the company's financial health and liquidity• Audit financial transactions and documents• Mid - High level work experience as an Accountant• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Hands-on advanced experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables• Experience with general ledger functions• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills• Posting of payments, Checks, EFT, Amazon Pay, Authorize.Net and PayPal• Calculate, prepare and maintain sales commission reporting• Calculate, prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly licensing royalty reporting• Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts• Safeguard and secure all financial records of the company and client financial information such as bank accounts and credit.• Conduct database backups when necessary.• Maintain system of controls over accounting transactions• Update and maintain the chart of accounts• Assist on month & year end closing• Assist with preparations for audits• Assist in the development of the company's annual budget• Analyze financial statements and prepare balance sheets• Assist with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings• Annual 1099's
Qualifications:
Previous mid - high level experience in accounting or other related fieldsFundamental knowledge of GAAPBSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degreeAdditional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plusDetail and deadline-orientedStrong analytical and problem solving skills
