Summary of the Role:

NFP Atlanta is seeking an Underwriter /Marketing Analyst who will coordinate the marketing and placement of employee benefit programs for clients and prospects, prepare and present RFP's to carriers, negotiates to secure coverage and selects and recommends quotes that meet client needs. Prepares marketing summary for client proposals. Works closely with client management teams to identify client objectives and find best solutions. Keeps teams informed of market trends and products. Maintains strong relationships with key carriers.

This team member will also assist with benefit administration technology project management for open enrollment and renewals.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides coverage/program design to teams through regular discussion and meetingsParticipates in meetings and contributes marketing knowledge in discussion of new business and renewal opportunities and new productsPrepares RFP's and submits to carriers; Reviews quotes from carriers and creates/maintains coverage comparison; prepares marketing proposal and recommends client options to meet client objectivesNegotiates with the carrier for the best program for clients.Develops and maintains relationships with key carriersAssists in client meetings and prospect meetings as neededUpdates and maintains monthly experience reports (dashboard reports) in Excel, for specified clientsAct as Team Lead for Marketing/Placement StaffFacilitate the organization of ben admin renewalsDevelop and track timelinesFollow up with Account Management team to ensure timelines are metTrack eligibility files- source and deliveryAssist with benefits administration enrollment site testingLog and track service ticketsKnowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate timesStrong Presentation/Speaking Skills - Effectively communicating with others in an individual or group environment to articulate the items or information neededProject Management - Taking ownership of the project and seeing it through to completion through complex problem solving, operational analysis, quality control analysis, technology design, and exceptional time managementMulti-Tasking Efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines and remain on task with designated timelines.Education and/or Experience:Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong analytical and technical skillsAccount/Project Management: 3 yearsBachelor's Degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experienceCertifications, Licenses, Registration:
