Job DescriptionA construction/manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant. Looking for someone who can assist with GL accounting, balance sheets, AP, and month-end close. Ideally looking for a candidate who has relevant industry experience and has used Sage or a similar ERP.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Manage and reconcile accounts receivable
- Perform journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Implement and maintain accounting systems such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Utilize LIHTC knowledge for tax credit projects
- Apply accrual accounting principles to financial transactions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles
- Ability to analyze complex financial information accurately
