Job Description

About this Job:Laboratory-based role on of the Exposure Analytics Team within the North American Dietary and Environmental Exposure Science Platform.Develop fit-for-purpose trace residue methods in various crop, livestock and environmental matrices for multiple target analytes.Maintain and continually develop a high-level of technical and theoretical expertise in LC-MS/MS and sample processing technologiesServe as an expert in separation science and chromatography.Provide technical support and guidance to exposure analytics colleagues to overcome technical challenges and meet team deliverables.Understand and ensure methodologies meet the required Regulatory guidance and are reported.Work closely with analytical study monitors and field study managers to ensure successful method transfers and troubleshoot technical developments.Understand the analytical capabilities and capacity at CRO partners.Participate in regional project teams as an analytical expert.Identify and lead opportunities for innovation with analytical, extraction and sample processing technologies.Work collaboratively to identify and implement opportunities for improvement to maximize efficiency and team effectiveness across NA Exposure Science.

Qualifications

Degree in Analytical Chemistry or other focused analytical disciplineExpertise in the development of trace analytical methods using LC-MS/MS and sample preparation technologies.Outstanding theoretical and experimental background in chromatography and separation scienceDemonstrated experience overcoming complex analytical challengesExcellent communication skills and partnering, with the ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to deliver priorities to ensure project timelines are met, with flexibility to transition as needs changePositive solution-focused approach to finding the best path forwardAbility to work independently to manage assigned workload, while being an effective team contributor, coach and mentorExcellent documentation and organizational skillsAptitude with electronic tools for reporting and processing data as well as comfort with data acquisition systemsThe successful applicant must be able to demonstrate that they areeligibleto live and carry out the particular role in the USA

Preferred Requirements

Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or other focused analytical disciplinePrevious experience developing and validating trace residue methods supporting agrochemical Regulatory submissionsStrong publication record demonstrating the ability to resolve complex technical challenges and develop innovative approaches to solving problemsExperience in coordinating and directing work being conducted at external contract research organizationsFamiliarity with ELN and LIMS for documenting and managing data, as well as tools for automating reportingInterest in publishing and presenting scientific work at conferences and other external organizations.Applied knowledge in Lean or other continuous improvement methodologiesExperience working in a GLP environment
