Description
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: computer, general office supplies, file cabinets, scissors, and conveyor belt
REQUIRED PRODUCTION OUTPUT PER SHIFT: Keep up with production
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.2. Attendance:
Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.3. Work Ethics:
Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.Meet deadlines and production quotas.Get along with co-workers.Follow instructions.Work scheduled overtime.
4. Duties: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
a. Pull sample swatches from the file cabinet and insert ticket into roll
b. Check folder sample against each roll to make sure- ticket matches information tag
- pattern and repeat match the sample
- filling is the correct color and in the proper location according to the sample.
- background shade matches samplec. Key information (yardage, piece number, weight, inspector's initials, etc.) about the roll into the computer
d. Send roll to next step in process (i.e. Finishing, Regrade, Samples, Shipping, etc.)
e. Keep sample folders filed in correct placeKeep work area clean by sweeping and cleaning up at shift changeOTHER JOB ELEMENTS:
Operate equipment properly. Report malfunctions or maintenance concerns to supervisor.Perform other duties needed to do the job or as required by the supervisor.Position Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:
Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Be proficient in reading and writing English in order to follow special instructions and directions.Basic computer skills.Pass test for colorblindnessKnowledge of yarn and patterns preferred
