As a Commercial Card Fraud Analyst at finally, you will have a key role in onboarding applicants and analyzing existing customers within our small to medium sized business charge card portfolio. Through your daily actions and implementation of new ideas, you will have the opportunity to shape the quality of the company's lending portfolio in line with the company's overall strategy. You will get the chance to work with a variety of teams across the lending side of the business including Sales, Tech and FinOps.
Responsibilities:Fraud Detection: Utilize past experience and fraud tools to identify fraudulent applications and suspicious behaviors while onboarding potential customers.Transaction Monitoring: Continuously monitor business credit card transactions for signs of fraud.Data Analysis: Analyze transaction data to identify patterns and trends that may indicate fraudulent activity.Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious applications and transactions.Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on fraud cases, including findings and recommendations for preventing future incidents.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Revenue, Customer Service, Legal, and Compliance, to address and resolve fraud cases.System Improvements: Recommend and implement improvements to fraud detection systems and processes.Qualifications/Prior Experience/Personal Profile:
Experience: Between 3 - 5 years of experience analyzing small to medium sized business customers from a credit/lending perspective at a lending fintech, commercial bank, or credit card company. Prior credit/charge card experience is a definite plus.Education: Degree from a reputable institution in a quantitative field.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and identify anomalies. SQL and Python skills are a definite plus.Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to spot inconsistencies and potential fraud indicators.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with team members.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with fraud detection tools and software from a variety of 3rd-party providers.Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively using data and past experience to form an opinion and make judgments.Environment: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, startup environment.
