Job Summary:

The Press operator runs large printing presses, as per job specifications.. The Press operator must know the mechanical workings of the machine, possess good manual dexterity, and the ability to assess active production to ensure high-quality product efficiently. The Press operator is required to have a more technically skilled orientation, along with color knowledge and the ability to quickly change from one job sequence to another.

Duties/Responsibilities:•Ensures ticket instructions for product accuracy, and follows up with Account Success and Support Rep when questions arise.•Confirms that correct color profiles are selected for each project as per estimator and/or pre-press specifications.•Inspects proofs to ensure highest level of output and eliminate errors.•Follows company policy and operating procedures at all times.•Follows established quality assurance processes to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.•Perform routine equipment maintenance per schedule.•Maintains a clean and orderly work area while following all health and safety guidelines.•Complete all other responsibilities and assignments as required to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of this position.

Required Skills/Abilities:•Ability to follow directions and work well with a team.•Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.•Understanding of or the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

Education/Experience:•At least five years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:•Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.•Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
