The
Senior Financial Reporting Accountant
develops and maintains reliable accounting information on income, expenses, assets, liabilities and capital as a basis for management planning and decision making, and for fulfilling financial reporting requirements.
Performs the month-end, and year-end closing processes as well as monthly financial statements for the Holding Company, Bank and AffiliatesPrepares and files the various weekly, quarterly and annual financial regulatory reports for the Holding Company, Bank and Affiliates (including Call Report, FRY9-C, FRY9-LP). Also includes various regulatory and government surveysPrepares the monthly tax accrual and capital tax calculationsContributes and supports the preparation of monthly financial presentation for the bank and its affiliates to management as part of the month-end cycleMonitors the fixed asset management and capital expenditures control in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and accounting rules and regulationsPrepares entries to accounts, reconciling balances, fixed asset reporting and creating reports within accounting systemsAnalyzes financial information to determine accuracy of account balances, financial postings and calculations, investigates and resolves discrepanciesAssists with policies and procedure formation and updates and makes recommendations; researches accounting rules and regulations; and assists with the preparation of audit/exam requestsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent education/work experience3-5 years of experience in theoretical and practical accountingPreferred: CPA licenseSkills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator sills; must be able to perform advanced math and carry out complex instructionsWork occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the positionLifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
