The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting for RPM. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, cash management and the general ledger for a portfolio of properties.Responsibilities:Prepare monthly financial information in accordance with deadlines/requirements while adhering to accounting policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controlsPrepare financials for multiple clients with different reporting requirementsEffectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer serviceRequires the use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatmentRequires cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to predict the need for fundingRecords journal entries & accruals, reconciles income, and documents prepaid rent in industry specific softwareReconcile all balance sheet accounts monthlyPerform bank reconciliations as appropriatePerform cash disbursement through wires and checks, prepares invoicing and inter-company collections, and maintains a daily cash balanceAct as a mentor to help train new or less experienced accounting staffParticipate in the preparation & maintenance of written policies & procedures for functions/duties performedPerform other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Executive Team
