Financial Analyst (Remote-East Coast USA)
Job Description
Financial analyst role for a private equity sponsored leading medical device company. The role will support both the CFO, Finance and Accounting functions, and play an important role in supporting business leaders in their respective areas.
Location
Remote / East Coast USA.
Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze historical data, trends, and business drivers to produce accurate and insightful forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.Assist in producing month / quarter / annual financial statements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and finance to gather data, understand business drivers, and support strategic initiatives.Explain and understand financial performance, including variance analysis and trend identification, and provide actionable insights to management.Partner with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Monitor department budgets, provide support to department leaders to understand variance to plan and prior year.Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis.Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.The opportunity to self-direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion in a deadline driven environment.Work in matrix reporting environment.Exercising your oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.Education and/or Experience:
BA in Accounting or Finance.Minimum of 2 years of financial planning and analysis experience.Experience developing corporate financial budgets and forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Extensive Excel knowledge and hands-on experience using the following applications: Adaptive Planning, Oracle Business, Hyperion, OBIEE, or similar ERP/BI systems.
