Develop and strengthen our financial processes

The opportunity:

Flexport has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Finance plays a central role in our success by creating transparency of the company's performance, financials, risks, and internal controls, and building the people, process, and product needed for the future of Flexport.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager with a mission to recommend and drive new initiatives and support our fast-growing organization. As an Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to build personalized relationships with key stakeholders across multiple functional departments within our dynamic finance organization. Your innovative ideas and results-oriented approach will be essential to our continued success, and you will play a critical role in driving improvement and innovation as we grow.

You will:

Key contributor in the monthly close process and reporting for Flexport worldwide; including journal entries, reconciliations, and multi-entity consolidation.

Create insightful monthly managerial reports and conduct analytical reviews that inform strategic decision-making across the organization.

Conduct thorough technical accounting research and analysis on complex accounting issues, including preparing detailed memos and other documentation.

Develop accounting policies and work with various teams to ensure consistent application and adherence to US GAAP

Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage system capabilities, continuously improve processes, and ensure data quality.

Help build a high performing accounting team; including hiring and development.

You should have:

7+ years experience with a combination of public accounting and/or industry experience, preferably at a rapidly growing tech company.

Superior knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and compliance.

Current CPA required.

Familiarity with international accounting processes, working with multiple currencies and international consolidations.

Management experience of accounting staff is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Demonstrated understanding of business process development and improvement.

Passionate about accounting, finance, logistics and international trade!
