General Statement:

Advanced Pain Care advocates the appropriate and effective management of chronic pain through a multi-disciplinary approach. Physical Therapist Job Purpose:

The Physical Therapist will perform patient evaluation based on physician orders, plan and execute patient treatment plans, and modify treatment plans as patients' abilities change. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, self-starter who enthusiastically works with all patients, including post-surgical, medically complex, and those with work-related injuries.

The mission of Advanced Physical Therapy is to provide excellent 1:1 patient-centered care personalized to each person's specific needs. Working with individuals with chronic pain, our objective is to address pain first, restore mobility and normal movement patterns, and incorporate strength training programs to maximize function and quality of life. Compassion is a must. Also, switching treatment focus based on how a patient presents each visit and managing multiple treatment areas is essential. The physical therapist will work closely with referring providers, Advanced Pain Care providers, and the neuromodulation team by communicating patient concerns and providing patient updates.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Primary and essential job duties are as follows:

•Provides initial and ongoing assessment to determine the level of patients' physical and psychosocial functioning.

•Develops and revises the plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care-team members.

•Evaluates and reports on patients' progress.

•Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.

•Assists administrative staff with billing and reporting inquiries.

•Completes diagnostic and procedure coding and documentation as required/needed.

•Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

•Practices safe habits including but not limited to infection control, lifting procedures, etc.

•Presents a professional image and customer focus

•Practices teamwork by helping others willingly and communicating in a professional manner

•Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

•Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

•Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

•Operates standard office equipment (e.g. copier, personal computer, fax, etc.).

•Adheres to Advanced Pain Care's Policies and procedures

•Has regular and predictable attendance

•Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

Reports to Physicians; works with management team and midlevel providers.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

:

Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Requires a current BLS certification and current Texas License.

Experience

:

Minimum of two, five or more years preferred

:

•Must be able to work as scheduled - typically from 8:00 - 5:00 M-F

•Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time

•Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch

•Must be able to lift and move boxes and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.

•Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

•CPR and first aid

Salary Description

$90k to $110k per year
