For more information, visit: sportadvisory.com and sfmnetwork.com.is a sports, leisure, wellness and entertainment venue with 16 tennis courts, 14 outdoor turf fields, a 6,000+ person capacity amphitheater, an 8-lane indoor competition pool, an outdoor water park, playgrounds, an RV park, and a 103,000-square-foot community recreation center that will include hardwood courts, a 2-story fitness center, concessions, locker rooms and conference/party rooms.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:*** Enforcing all pool rules* Preventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situations* Providing patron surveillance whenever a patron is swimming* Provides effective leadership and direction to lifeguards* Ensures lifeguard staffing, coverage and job duties are compliant with all required standards & regulations* Instruct various ages in, water safety, and other aquatic programming* Assign cleaning duties* Attending in-service training as scheduled* Assists with conducting aquatics safety audits and reporting* Assists with executing birthday parties and private events* Completing other duties as assigned* Assist the aquatics manager in training, supervising, and evaluating Lifeguards* Create weekly work and station rotation schedules for Aquatics Team Members* Supervises the daily cleaning and maintenance of all Aquatic areas* Help train and evaluate the swim lesson instructors* Help train and evaluate water aerobics instructors* Supervise chlorine/ PH levels for the pools (make sure chemicals meet the Alabama Health Department and manufacturer standards)* Ability to work well with others**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*** Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification* Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification* Experience in customer service, leadership, and team building**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions* Employees will be exposed to outside temperatures ranging from 80-105 degrees* Minimal duties are performed in direct sunlight. The employee is exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions* The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution* Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high* May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, bend, carry, lift, pull, and push* Facility has intermittent noise
