POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sponsorships & Event Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting, contracting, and supporting Events and Business Development in the first-class execution of the facility's non-sport special events and trade shows, banquets, holiday parties and sponsorship partners. This position will work closely with the individual leaders of other internal departments (Operations, Marketing, etc.) to successfully accomplish these responsibilities. This position's primary responsibility is generating event revenue and sponsor partnerships.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

SALES RESPONSIBILITIESCreate/manage a database of prospective businesses that would have the need for space at a multi-use facilityGenerate sales through networking, building relationships, and creating strategic alliancesWork with third-party partners to maximize revenue and attract eventsDetermine expected sales volume and profit for existing and new events; analyze trends and results; establish pricing strategies; recommend bid and rental prices; monitor costs, competition, supply, and demandDevelop and serve as the primary contact for all events before and after they have been contractedAccomplish objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; develop sales action plansIdentify marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements; defining the market, competitor's share, and strengths and weaknesses; forecast projected business; establish targeted market shareExperience with and understanding of hotel rebates and strategic partnerships between hotels and facilitiesActively participate in other operational functions as necessary, including event setup and execution, attending all scheduled events and meetings, and assisting other departments during outside or special eventsRecruit special events for straight rental and co-promoted datesDevelop leads for new business in your areaSPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Pursue and book sponsorship salesEffectively activate sponsorship deliverables to ensure client satisfactionContinuously communicate relevant venue and contract-specific data/information to cultivate sponsorship client relationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointEntry level or beginner knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically in InDesign and IllustratorSkilled at identifying and creating opportunities or promotions to deliver revenue goalsMust have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skillsMust be a team player and deadline-drivenMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours)Proven experience in contract negotiations, event creation and planningA bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field with 3+ years' appropriate sales experience preferredWORKING CONDITIONS AND DEMANDS:

Ability to travel to trade shows and regionally by carMust be able to lift 40 pounds waist highWill be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computerWill be required to conduct venue tours to prospective clientsOffice environment has intermittent noise, normal in nature
