Position Summary

Our Cleveland office has an amazing opportunity for a

Budget Analyst

who is looking to utilize their experience and work with a fast paced, energetic financial team. This role is perfect for the analyst who thrives in all things budget - analyzing general ledgers, compiling and computing numbers and creating different scenarios and reducing them to a chart/graph to tell the story. The Budget Analyst works hand-in-hand with attorneys and practice groups to prepare budgets and forecasts in one of the nation's fastest growing law firms.

Essential Functions:

1. Collaborates with Firm leadership to develop the organization's budget.

2. Reviews budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

3. Creates summary budget reports to offer insight regarding spending trends.

4. Functions as an important resource for practice group leaders, department heads and senior staff regarding their budget and forecasting needs.

5. Performs detailed analysis on general ledger to analyze variances in budget vs actuals.

6. Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports and graphs for firm management.

7. Analyzes and understands business requirements and create reports to support needs.

8. Processes, cleans, and validates data in general ledger to ensure accuracy.

9. Collaborates with multiple departments across the Firm to analyze business needs.

10. Utilizes business intelligence software to create interactive reports.

11. Identifies and assesses the current performance and historical trends across all practice groups and departments.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration1-3 years of data analysis or budgeting experienceAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong critical thinking and problem solving skillsExperience in financial analysis, modeling, and budgeting preferredAbility to prioritize tasks and perform under tight deadlinesStrong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service attitude
