**YMCA Aquatics Coordinator / Head Lifeguard**YMCA of Downtown Manchester - 30 Mechanic Street, 30 Mechanic Street, Manchester, New Hampshire, United States of America Req #1086 Friday, January 14, 2022 The YMCA of Downtown Manchester team is looking for an energetic, hard-working, team member to support and directly implement day to day operations of our Aquatics Department. Under the guidance of the Senior Program Director, the Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of aquatic operation including:* Responsible for an average of 30 - 35 direct program hours lifeguarding or teaching aquatic programming including being available to teach and/or guard as a sub when necessary* Supporting the Senior Program Director with supervision of aquatic staff (swim instructors and lifeguards) including scheduling, approving time cards, staff communication, staff development, evaluating staff, staff training and staff preparedness during an aquatic emergency* Supporting staff meetings to assure practice of lifeguarding skills, swim instructor development, and policy re-enforcement* Be able to assist members with program registration and answer questions* Assist in the care and maintenance of aquatic safety equipment and aquatic facilitiesRequired Qualifications:YMCA or ARC LifeguardCPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First AidThis candidate should possess a background in swim lesson program management, lifeguarding, and supervision.Preferred Qualifications:YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certifiedYMCA Lifeguard Instructor certified2+ years of experience supervising a staff teamKnowledge of pool management and safety issues, Certified Pool OperatorThis is a full time, hourly benefited position ranging from $17.50 $20 per hour.**Other details*** Pay Type Hourly
