Job Description Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Nofar Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. Our General Managers (GM) are vital to the hotel's success because they are responsible for the successful operations of the hotel, both in present time and in preparing the hotel for future success. As the GM you are assisting our front line employees in delivering excellent service and product and are active in all departments of the hotel. You are working on behalf of the ownership to maintain a fiscally successful business. Experience: Fosse: 2 years (Required) Marriott: 2 years (Required) Lead department managers and line level employees in living the company's mission statement, adhering to and promoting policy and procedures. The GM is called on to roll out new programs to the team to meet brand and company expectations. Deliver clear and concise communication that meets Nofar Hotel Groups tone and tenor and following approved communications platforms. Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation and proactive planning, and endeavor to be organizationally savvy with a keen focus on detail. The ability to seamlessly adapt and fill any staffing gaps in the hotel with ease and success, this may mean filling shifts for line level employees in all departments when needed. Working diligently to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities, the GM is the liaison for the brand and the hotel company and must be able to lead the hotel to meet all brand and NHG standards and expectations. As the GM you will be responsible for maintaining the hotels service recovery program and ensuring guest issues are solved quickly and to their satisfaction. The GM is responsible for the overall financial success of the hotel, working with the sales team to assure goals are being set and met, STAR reports are meeting goals, and that the sales team is successfully performing outlined sales activities to the benefit of the hotel. The GM is responsible for assuring the hotel is ready at all times for brand audits, both financial and on property standards audits. Additionally assuring all licenses, certificates are to brand, company as well as city, county and state standards. The GM is a representative of the company's leadership team and is to align their presentation, communication and adherence to policy and procedure with the company's expectations. Learn and use digital sales systems and conceptual sales processes (i.e. Slack, PMS, sales call process, etc.) and understand the hotel's sales strategies (i.e. rates, fees, budgeted goals, etc.). Implement these tools and resources in order to accomplish individual and team goals and efficiently complete job duties. Prepared for, participate in, all necessary internal meetings, conference calls, reporting, planning, training, and other communications required for this position. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
