Department Overview

Our Marketing department focuses on building and promoting the W&D brand to ensure that everyone understands the benefits of W&D. Our specialized marketing experts collaborate to provide excellent service internally and externally. Our specialties include Brand & Content, Creative, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Digital (Web, Email and Advertising), PR/Social Media, Events, and Operations and Analytics.

The Impact You Will Have

This is an exciting opportunity to help drive growth for one of FORTUNE Magazine's 20 fastest growing public companies and a Great Place to Work®. In this role, you will collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to plan, execute, and measure marketing campaigns for five of our high-priority growth businesses: Affordable Housing, GSE Finance (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), FHA Finance, Small Balance Group and Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners.

Primary Responsibilities

Market intelligence-be the expert on the buyers for our products, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.Oversee a Marketing & Strategy Manager.Monitor and understand the competitive landscape-be an expert on our competition and its positioning.Collaborate with marketing communications and group heads to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas.Understand and document our clients' buying processes, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then implement changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.Develop integrated marketing plans for products you support in conjunction with the marketing, group heads, and sales teams, including:

Pro-forma pipeline goals to meet revenue commitmentsChannels and tactics to build awareness, drive demand, and help close dealsPropose budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.

Plan the launches of new offerings and solutionsManage the cross-functional implementation of marketing plans with all marketing and communications disciplines: PR, external communications, events, social media, digital marketing (including email and web), creative teams and marketing operations and analytics.Track and report campaign results to business stakeholders and executives. Assess the effectiveness on an ongoing basis, and report back to the businesses on required changes.Coordinate thought leadership for products externally, including speaking engagements and written works.Understand and support our sales channels; develop internal tools and external collateral and advise how and when to use it.Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalentSeven+ years of marketing experience, preferably within financial servicesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

B2B marketing acumen, including product marketing, digital marketing, account-based marketingCuriosity, strong drive, and willingness to learn our businessStrong presentation, facilitation, and verbal communication skillsExcellent writing skills, with the knack of translating complex topics into compelling content for clientsRoll-up-your-sleeves attitude - willingness to pitch in and collaborate to help drive a project forwardAbility to build consensus and lead through influenceExceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isn't workingKnowledge of Salesforce/a CRM platform and email marketing automation tools a plusThis position has an estimated base salary of $150,000 - $175,000 plus discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant's relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
