Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required License: Must have an appropriate state or compact license in hand at time of application Certifications: - Required: ACLS, BCLS, PALS- Preferred: CPI, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience working ER in a minimum of Level III Trauma Center- EMR experience required; training covered during orientation- Ability to pass a cardiac exam during orientation- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam if working in ER or ICU Job Description: - Care for patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in Acute Care, 1:6 in Rapid Medical Treatment, and 1:2 in Trauma- Handle responsibilities including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, continuous IV sedation, stroke (CVA) management, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, orthopedic trauma, respiratory/thoracic care, shock/trauma response, and triage- A short-term acute care environment with a total of 606 staffed beds- Must bring own stethoscope to work- Required to work every other weekend- Adhere to strict attendance policy- Complete virtual modules prior to starting- International education candidates must provide a degree equivalency certification showing equivalency to an Associate's or Bachelor's degreeRTO requests are not accommodated for the following holiday dates: November 28th, November 29th, December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, January 1st.
